Head of Quality

Aviludo is a leading company in the distribution of food products. Founded in 1984 in the Algarve and present across several regions of the country, from North to South, it operates six branches nationwide, two of which include specialized areas dedicated to the processing and preparation of meat products.

With extensive experience in providing personalized door‑to‑door delivery services for the professional food sector—particularly the HORECA channel, butcher shops, and small retailers—we offer a portfolio of more than 3,500 product references, including our own brands.

We are looking to strengthen the team with a highly skilled and motivated Head of Quality. We are seeking a strategic leader committed to excellence and passionate about food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee the company’s Quality and Food Safety strategy.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO 22000 standards and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring the maintenance of certifications.
• Monitor performance indicators and implement effective action plans.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Logistics, Procurement, and other key departments to ensure process integrity.
• Manage customer complaints, non-conformities, and corrective/preventive actions.

Profile Requirements

• Degree in Food Engineering, Quality Management, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Quality leadership roles, preferably within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 22000 and food safety management systems (like FSSC 22000, IFS…)..
• Experience in the meat production industry will be considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• High level of organization, rigor, and results orientation.
• Critical thinking and the ability to drive structural improvements
